The other day I went to the gym and when I went in I was parked next to a 2008ish Dodge Durango. You know these fat turds.
But when I came out they had left and what was in it’s place? A Chrysler Aspen.
I told my wife, her response was at best apathetic. But I still found it amusing.

It’s like the Durango put on some fancy jewels and makeup while you were at the gym.

I’m shocked all of these haven’t rusted to oblivion yet.

Well I live in northern Wisconsin where you can drive just about any rusty pile you dare. SO it’ll be a good 20 years before they become “to rusty” for most people here.

I see an Aspen every couple months. It always strikes me as the pinnacle of the SUV craze and badgineering gone wrong, all in the same car.
That and the Lincoln Blackwood a few years earlier.

Eh, call me when you see an Aspen hybrid.

Am I the only one who likes the Aspen’s aesthetics better than the Durango’s?

How about a Kantanka? This one’s a Forvy SuburbExplorer!

The Durango looked too much like the Nitros of that era.
The current ones are okay in the same way the Explorer is okay. I can’t see myself ever buying one, but if my wife wanted one, then OK; but I’m only gonna buy you the Sport.

I didn’t even know they made a hybris version. But I’m guessing it got about 20mpg. with a v6.
